KICK-A-THON for HUMANITY Post Event Report





We would like to thank all of our participants, families, friends and community members for making the event memorable in honor of John Platt and for the benefit of his wife Florence and her two children Ryen and Kayla.

Here is her quote from the email she sent me on October 16th at 6:41pm:
"Thank you Master Kang for today.  Our family appreciates all that you have done for us.  You and your family are amazing people.  John always appreciated your kindness and I know that he would be grateful to you for taking care of us.  God bless you and your family."

Now I'm not taking credit for this alone.  I couldn't have done it without everyone's help and support and I thank each and everyone who played a part.  It was God's will and we were all on the journey together to complete his mission.  Florence feels all the support, kindness and love that we are offering her and it's giving her strength and hope in her time of grieving. 

We have received over $4600 in flat rate donations and raffle ticket donations!  That amount will grow substantially after we receive all the per kick donations from your sponsors.  Please pick up your donations from your sponsors ASAP and mail your Sponsor sheet along with the donations back to Mountain View Christian Center, 5000 Amaryllis St., Oakley, CA 94561 by Monday, October 25, 2010.  It's not too late to help!  If you weren't at the KICK-A-THON, you can still donate a flat rate.  Every little bit helps and will be sincerely appreciated.    

Amazing!!!  We were contacted today by The Mo'Nique Show, BET's #1 Late Night Talk Show and they want to fly out the Platt family and MC HAMMER to be on her show.  We'll update you as things develop...

We should all feel proud of making a true difference in our community from our efforts!  We have produced results and have changed the lives of the Platt family forever.  As for me, you have all made being a Taekwondo instructor so gratifying...
